Continuous Drum Washers
Rotajet manufacture the RJ-DW-Auto range of continuous drum washers for washing large numbers of drums. These machines can be manufactured with single or multiple stages, depending on the level of cleanliness required. The machines are available as either a single-track tunnel wash or 4-track tunnel washer.
Automatic Drum Washers: RJ-DW-Auto
A Rotajet automatic drum washer carries drums along a walking beam, taking the drums through the entire reconditioning process with minimal supervision. Once the drums are placed onto the loading platform, the drums are transferred through multiple cleaning stages. Cleaning stages, cycle times, wash liquors and temperatures can be configured to achieve the optimum cleaning quality.
Generally, the drum washers and barrel washers use a heated caustic wash in the first stage to remove any chemical residues left in the barrel or drum. After this stage, the drums are rinsed using water and then dried.
The smallest single-track drum washer will clean up to 60 drums per hour. Rotajet can increase the number of stations, increasing the throughput to 100 drums per hour. Due to the transfer times, after 100 drums per hour, we recommend that a multi-track machine is used.
Rotajet fit the machines with integral sumps which contain the washing and rinsing cleaning liquids. These sumps are fitted with coarse and fine filtration that prolongs the operating life of the working solutions. The Rotajet drum and barrel washers are fitted with high-pressure rotating spray nozzles that give total cleaning coverage, ensuring the containers are completely clean.
As standard, the RJ-DW-Auto is fitted with 3 wash zones, 1 caustic wash zone and 2 fresh water rinse zones.
